Snowmobiling - Enjoy winter's beauty on a snowmobile tour. Snowmobile tours are available during the day or at night. Backcountry Snow cat Skiing or Sightseeing Tours - Experience the magic of winter in your own private, heated snow cat. A single snow cat seats up to 12 people, snowcats available for groups of  up to 22 people. Complete with driver/guide, hot lunch and beverage, tours of 4 to 5 hours. Special moonlight dinner tours available by reservation only (reserve soon as moonlight tours book quickly!). Services include professional guides, avalanche beacons, and Voile skis and snowboards for demo. Base elevation 10,500 feet, peak elevation 13,250 feet, hiking elevation 14,014 feet, average snowfall 400 inches, vertical average per day 10,000 feet, slope angles 25 to 55+ degrees. Cross Country Skiing - There are approximately 10 km. of cross country trails at Wolf Creek. Tracks are groomed on a regular basis. Ski & Other Sports Equipment Rentals - Please ask us for information on where to rent or buy ski , biking, snowshoeing, and other sports equipment. There is also a guest information package in each room that gives information on where to rent equipment. Doc's Outdoor Sports offers ski rental, ski servicing, ski attire and is located next door to our lodge. Visit http://www.docsoutdoorsports.com or call our lodge for more information. We recommend advance reservations for ski equipment rental.

Sleigh Rides - Day and Evening Rides available 8 miles from our lodge. Ride includes a hot beverage and baked goods. Price for a 1/2 hour ride is $16 adult, $10 children, children under 4 are free. For an hour ride the cost is $25 adult, $15 children, 4 and under are free. Reservations are preferred. Please call Wolf Creek Lodge & Resort for reservations. 

Hunting - Hunting in the South Fork area can be an incredible experience. There are 113 types of wildlife that have been identified as sport game. Small game includes fox, marmots, coyotes, rabbits, squirrel, and more. Big game includes moose, big horn sheep, elk, deer, mountain goats, and more. Dates for each type of hunting are set by the Colorado Division of Wildlife. Fishing - Too many places for great river, stream, lake, and Gold Medal fishing to get them all in here! Fish the Rio Grande or the South Fork of the Rio Grande River and its many streams and tributaries. Area lakes and reservoirs include Alberta Park Reservoir, Archuleta Lake, Beaver Creek Reservoir, Big Meadows, Crater Lake, Crystal Lake, Hunters Lake, Pass Lake, Shaw Lake, Million Reservoir, Tucker Ponds, and more. There are rivers, lakes, reservoirs, streams, tributaries. If you wish to go on a guided fishing trip, we can refer you to an experienced fishing guide. Let us know your needs, and we'll make sure you get where you want to go. Rafting  - Mountain Man Tours offers two different river trips. One is a whitewater trip on the lower run of the Rio Grande located between Creede and South Fork with Class II and Class II 1/2 rapids. This run goes through the Wagon Wheel Gap Canyon. The other river trip begins above Creede and is Class II and Class II 1/2 rapids. This trip is great for families.

River Fishing Guide - Mountain Man Tours offers a guided fishing trip. Fishermen of all types and skill levels welcome! Fish quality waters for Rainbow, Native, and Brown Trout. Offering guided float fishing trips on productive sections of Gold Medal water. As sportsmen, our guides encourage the "Catch and Release" philosophy. Licensed Fishing Guide - South Fork Anglers (SFA) offers year round world class guided float and wade trips in south-central Colorado. Located on the banks of the Rio Grande in the South Fork, the "hot spot" for fishing in the San Luis Valley area. Twilight River Float - Take in a spectacular sunset as your guide skillfully navigates your raft down the Rio Grande. Bring a bottle of your favorite wine, cheese, and crackers while enjoying a leisurely float at sunset. Twilight floats are approximately two hours long, starting at 6:30 PM and cover four miles of river. Transportation to and from the river is provided as well as a Type I/V personal flotation device (life preserver). Sand Dunes ("Hooper") Natural Artesian Hot Water Pool - Natural hot artesian water pool with views of the Great Sand Dunes and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The pool water is maintained between 98-102 degrees depending upon the season. Features a concession stand, pool toys for rent or purchase, greenhouse produce, Open from March 1 through November 30. Open every day from 10 AM to 10 PM except Thursday. December through February hours are 1 PM to 8 PM. Closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Closed in April for maintenance from the 1st Thursday in April for 10 days. A "must see" offering a complete day or afternoon of entertainment for the entire family. Family Float Trips/Scenic Photography Float Trips - Take a guided raft trip on the Rio Grande. This is a great way for the entire family to be introduced to river rafting. Afternoon trips are approximately two hours long, starting at 12:00 PM, and cover four to six miles of river. All trips are fully guided and designed for all ages, no experience or physical requirements needed. Transportation to and from the river is provided as well as a Type I/V personal flotation device (life preserver). Hiking & 14'ers - This area offers trails that will appeal to all levels of hikers, from easy to difficult. Trails range from approximately 1.5 miles to 5 miles. There are longer trails that lead into other trails for those hikers wishing a more challenging adventure. Contact us and we will assist you with information to help you plan your hikes. Come to the lodge office for hiking trail maps.

Colorado Gators - A family oriented, recreational farm that uses natural resources with an integrated ecosystem with the goal of preserving a variety of species. Colorado Gators is open from January 1 through May 23 from 9-5 daily, May 24 through September from 9-7 daily, and September 9 through December from 9-5 daily. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Creede Repertory Theatre Just up the mountain from us is the Creede Repertory Theatre. The theatre is a nationally acclaimed repertory theatre offering 4 productions running from mid-June to Labor Day. Productions are rotating and visitors can see more than one production if they spend several days in our area. Types of productions include dramas, comedies, musicals, and contemporary. Silver Thread Scenic Highway - The Silver Thread Scenic Highway highlights include old mining camps, history, and spectacular scenery.  This scenic highway is approximately 75 miles long and takes about 2 hours to travel.
